Hakuba Summer
In many ways, summer in the Hakuba valley is much more packed with great activities than winter. Primarily Hakuba in summer has absolutely fantastic weather. Blue skies, 20 to 30 degrees Celsius, crisp and clean mountain air set among some stunningly beautiful mountain backdrops, forests and rivers. I have put together a number of activities below that I will keep expanding. The sure thing is that Hakuba is cheap to visit in the summer and will keep you fully entertained whether you enjoy outdoor sports or prefer to soak the hours away in the various local hot springs.

Stay for 5 nights or more and receive a complimentary day out on Aoki lake

Lake Aoki is classified as one of the clearest lakes in Japan. It is just a 10 minute dive from our properties. Aoki means blue-tree and the lake is truly a blue lake in the summer months as the crystal clear water allows sunlight to reflect off the grey-blue stone bedrock. Nestled in a uninhabited bay on the lakes North Shore, we have a private waterfront property. We keep some SUP boards, canoes and a small boat there. The bay is perfect for swimming and in the trees nearby is a rope swing. It is a little paradise for both kids and adults. All of our guests that book for 5 nights or more enjoy a complimentary day out at the property hosted by Daniel and Ayako to enjoy is beauty and relax in nature. We can arrange a BBQ (at cost) and guests can use all of our water toys complimentary for the day.
